Nipple play for beginners: clamps, suction and safety

How to start with nipple play, how to choose between clamps and suction toys, and how long to keep them on.

Start without toys

Touch, pinching and kissing show how sensitive each of you is. Sensitivity varies a lot between people and even from day to day, so let the person receiving guide the pressure.

Clamps or suction?

Clamps squeeze and the sensation builds the longer they stay on; adjustable ones let you start loose. Suction toys pull gently with air, often with vibration or rotation, and feel softer at the lowest level. Try a clamp on your fingertip first to feel its pressure.

How long

Begin with a few minutes. Remove clamps slowly: the strongest sensation often comes when they come off, as blood flows back. Remove anything at once if you feel sharp pain, numbness or see the skin change colour.

Care

Wash clamps and suction cups with warm water and mild soap after every use and dry them fully. Keep chargeable toys' charging points dry unless the maker says the toy is waterproof.
